About USA Camp Group
Leadership Rooted in History
Our leadership, Hector and Diane Corona have been in the not for profit arena for the last nine
years and also founded and operated City Kids Camp. The mission and passion
has always been to provide a refuge and respite for our Chicago at-risk kids and give them the
opportunity to experience nature, camp and some inner peace. Whether faced with the physical
effects of poverty or the danger of gangs, violence, drug abuse and hopelessness, we want to
provide children a place to experience a true outdoor adventure. We believe we can build
foundations that lead to hope, motivation and a better future through mentorships, motivational
speakers, counseling, opportunities for internships, continuing education and ultimately, finding
meaningful work.
In 2019, the Coronas again demonstrated their commitment to helping kids from any economic
demographic and purchased a camp in Lewistown, Illinois. They personally purchased the camp
to help bring solutions and a place where kids can play like kids. The Coronas are active
members of the community and live in the West Loop in Chicago. They have three boys,
Giorgio, Lucas and Marko who keep them active and make sure that the camp is offering the best
activities and experiences that any child would like to see in a camp. As parents the Coronas will take care
of your child as though they were one of their own.
Our Programs
Our biggest running program is City Kids Camp. City Kids Camp is located in Lewistown, Illinois, about three hours south of Chicago. There, attendees will experience all of the adventures of camp on our beautiful 167 acres of natural environment. Our staff is composed of dedicated volunteers, counselors, nurses, teachers, mentors, and motivational speakers, all of whom work together to encourage and nurture our campers.
